“Every good and perfect gift is from above”
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.”
“Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.”
1. The abundance of spiritual gifts.
I Corinthians 7:7
“But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.”
I Peter 4:10
“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others.”
2. The gift of the Holy Spirit.
“On one occasion while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: ‘Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised,’”
“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
3. The gift of salvation.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-.”
